This mindful movement developed in Finland combines movement and slow breathing to develop strength, balance, mindfulness, community, and appreciation for the outdoors. Join fellow chess enthusiasts for casual, drop-in play. All skill levels are welcome—whether you're a seasoned player or just learning the game. Boards and pieces are provided. No registration required—just come and play! Chess Club meets weekly in the Great Room and is co-sponsored by Riverside Chess Club and Riverside Library. If the Great Room is not available, the club will move downstairs to the Foley Community Room.

The Center provides guidance and referrals for aging services, benefits counseling (by appointment), intellectual and developmental disability services, mental health services, and substance abuse services.

Join us for a kids-only 3D printing drop-in sessions every Tuesdays from 3:30- 5:30 pm! Choose and print one design (approximately 10–15 minutes, as time permits). Ages 3 - Grade 8. No-registration is required. Space is limited. Interested in creating a larger or more detailed print? You can schedule a one-hour 3D printing appointment for children ages 3-12, accompanied by an adult. Note: A fee applies for all 3D printing outside of this program.

Riverside writers (and aspiring writers) are welcome to grow, share, and inspire at our monthly meeting! Whether you're a seasoned author or just starting out, our club provides a creative space to explore new ideas, receive constructive feedback, and develop your writing skills. Join us for regular writing exercises, discussions, and collaborative projects that spark imagination and build confidence. Feel free to bring work to share. All genres and skill levels are welcome. Ages 16 Wordsmiths' Society meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. New members are always welcome. Registration is not required.

Whether you’re starting your journey or you’ve been at it for years, we can help! We are a destination for genealogy research and are a FamilySearch Affiliate Library. In addition to our collection of genealogy books, we offer access to the Czech & Slovak American Genealogy Society of Illinois (CSAGSI) and various online resources. Access millions of locked FamilySearch digital records (only available in a Family History Center or Affiliate Library) in-house using our computers or Wi-Fi. A free personal account is required.
