You are invited to celebrate “Unearth a Story,” with a fun prehistoric art activity at the library! Participants will create textured dinosaur pictures using yarn and glue to design colorful dinosaur shapes and scenes. This hands-on craft encourages creativity and fine motor skills while giving families a chance to make and explore together. All supplies will be provided.

Register for BCLS Summer Reading 2026: Unearth a Story, where early literacy, children, teens, and adult customers can participate June 1 – August 3. In addition, customers of all ages can earn prizes to be redeemed at any BCLS library from June 8 – August 8.

"Author and Edutainer September Cardiff is back with Miss September and Friends in an unforgettable prehistoric adventure! Join the gang as they journey with Snowgran through the Jurassic jungles in Adventures with Snogran: Shake Rattle and Roar! Meet the adorable new Baby Dinosaur, discover why Chicken is going back to her roots, and cheer on Love-A-Bull as he learns that fitting in isn't nearly as important as being yourself! Along the way, audiences will experience magical surprises, lovable puppets, toe-tapping music, dinosaur discoveries, egg hatching fun, exciting huts for hidden surprises, and a heartwarming lesson about friendship, inclusion, and confidence. Together, we'll put all the pieces of the puzzle together as we Shake Rattle and Roar. . . .because it's time, time to explore."
