Join us for a screening of the documentary The Days of Dylan Thomas about the Welsh poet followed by a discussion. Join Green Planet Films and documentarian Chris Kepple for a screening of The Days of Dylan Thomas , a newly restored 21-minute documentary on the life of the celebrated Welsh poet created by Connecticut photographer Rollie McKenna using still images and Thomas’s own recorded voice. The screening will be followed by a discussion exploring Thomas’s life and legacy, his relationship with McKenna, and the artistic significance of her work. Kepple will also share insights into the restoration process from the original 16mm print, along with a preview of his upcoming documentary on McKenna offering a deeper look into her photography and lasting impact. Chris Kepple joined Green Planet Films in 2022 as Chief Operating Officer and became Executive Director in 2024, where he focuses on education-driven documentary distribution, filmmaking workshops, and programs that connect filmmakers with audiences. He is also an independent documentary filmmaker whose work has aired on Colorado Public Television, Connecticut Public Television, Rhode Island Public Television, and Ireland’s RTÉ Network, and has directed numerous programs and films exploring music, food, visual art, and literature.
