The Lost Song of the Sabertooth! Bring your young explorer to solve a dinosaur mystery and create music simultaneously! “The Lost Song of the Sabertooth” is your child’s interactive, music-filled paleontology adventure from Sticks and Tones (Henry and Maria). Kids become a “dig crew,” uncovering clues hidden in rhythm, melody, and sound, and then use those clues to rebuild a “lost song” from long ago. Space is limited. Program sponsored by Maricopa County Library District as part of Maricopa County Reads, the summer reading program at the library. Don't forget to sign up for the Summer Reading Game, it's for all ages! Prizes include free books and other great giveaways. Registration begins May 1. Start logging your reading on June 1. Recommended for ages 5 – 12 Everyone is an Artist! Draw along as we lead you through a step-by-step process of creating a piece of art. Stories will be read aloud as participants make the final touches to their artwork. Directed art is a fun way to practice listening, following directions, and using fine motor skills. Stories will be read aloud as participants make the final touches to their artwork. Directed art is a fun way to practice listening, following directions, and using fine motor skills.
