For first through fifth graders, Saguaro is offering a Reading Power Hour. This is your student's chance to pair up and practice their reading with one of our friendly teen volunteer buddies! Paired reading is an excellent way to build up literacy skills, social skills, and confidence. Who is Invited: Students from first grade through fifth grade. Teens who wish to participate can sign up to volunteer through our Phoenix Works Sign Up What to Bring: A willingness to read and have fun! Who’s it for? Children birth to five years old and their favorite grownups What will you do? You and your child will share simple yoga poses, book, stories, songs, and rhymes in a fun, interactive program. What will we learn? Learn how yoga and movement can help you and your child practice early literacy skills and learn social-emotional skills.  Please get your ticket at the front desk. For first through fifth graders, Saguaro is offering a Reading Power Hour. This is your student's chance to pair up and practice their reading with one of our friendly teen volunteer buddies! Paired reading is an excellent way to build up literacy skills, social skills, and confidence. Who is Invited: Students from first grade through fifth grade. Teens who wish to participate can sign up to volunteer through our Phoenix Works Sign Up What to Bring: A willingness to read and have fun! What Will we be Doing: Pairing young readers with older, more experienced readers in a library environment to practice reading skills.

"Little Dino's Baby Tooth" Dental Themed Puppet Show

The Great Arizona Puppet Theater presents “Little Dino’s Baby Tooth” a dental themed puppet show. A colorful and fun puppet production great for young children 2 - 8 years of age. In this adorable show, Little Dino is scared to lose his very first baby tooth. Luckily, his friend Maisy the butterfly is around to help ease his fears and teach him how to take care of his teeth, learn healthy eating habits, and how to brush to keep baby and big teeth happy and healthy. The Delta Dental of Arizona Foundation is the generous sponsor of our Dental Health Puppet Shows!
