Add a splash of color and creativity to your garden beds. Join us for a fun, relaxing program where you’ll design and paint your own rock garden markers. Whether you’re labeling herbs, veggies, or flowers, these handmade creations will make your garden both beautiful and uniquely yours. No artistic experience needed. Just bring your imagination and get ready to play with color. Space is limited, registration required. This program is for Adults 18+ This is a free program offered by the West Lafayette Public Library.  Free parking available in our garage.  WLPL library cards are free for all residents of Tippecanoe County.

Crack open your creativity at DIY Geodes! Teens are invited to create dazzling faux geodes inspired by nature’s hidden treasures. Experiment with color, sparkle, and crystal-inspired designs to make a unique masterpiece that rocks. This program is for teens in grades 7–12. We apologize for any confusion and appreciate your understanding. Give old books a magical new purpose by turning them into one-of-a-kind journals! Decorate covers, add pockets and pages, and transform forgotten books into creative masterpieces perfect for writing, sketching, or memory keeping. Is Twister one of your favorite movies? Are you always the last person off the porch and down to the basement during a storm event? Learn about the science, strategy, and storytelling of stormchasing from Dr. Robin Tanamachi of the Purdue Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences. Dr Tanamachi is a lifelong tornado enthusiast, professional stormchaser, and subject of the children’s book “The Tornado Scientist: Seeing Inside Severe Storms.” This program is for Teens/Adults 13+ This is a free program offered by the West Lafayette Public Library.  Free parking available in our garage.  WLPL library cards are free for all residents of Tippecanoe County.

Welcome to Jurassic Craft! Teens can relax, watch Jurassic Park, and make dinosaur-inspired trinket trays perfect for storing treasures big and small. It’s a prehistoric afternoon packed with creativity and fun. This program is for teens entering grades 7th – 12th.
