Struggling with anxiety after witnessing a harrowing instance of gun violence, Manuel Soto copes through photography, using his cell-phone camera to find anchors that keep him grounded. His days are lonely, until he’s teamed with his classmates, Sebastian and Caysha, for a group project. He helps raise a calf, learns to open up, and confronts his deepest fears. The At-Home Family Book Club Kit includes a copy of the book to check out, discussion questions, and snacks. Kits are available first come, first served in the Children’s Library.
