Struggling with anxiety after witnessing a harrowing instance of gun violence, Manuel Soto copes through photography, using his cell-phone camera to find anchors that keep him grounded. His days are lonely, until he’s teamed with his classmates, Sebastian and Caysha, for a group project. He helps raise a calf, learns to open up, and confronts his deepest fears. The At-Home Family Book Club Kit includes a copy of the book to check out, discussion questions, and snacks. Kits are available first come, first served in the Children’s Library. Books will be checked out to your library card when you pick up the kit.

Open Art Studio for Adults is an evening of crafting, fellowship and, hopefully, having a few laughs. This evening you’ll have access to epoxy resin supplies. There will be no prescribed project for attendees to complete, but ideas, materials and guidance will be provided. If your not inclined to this project, feel free to bring your own craft/project along and come spend an evening with fellow crafters. No registration necessary.
