R.U.F.F. – Reading Uniquely for Fundamentals
Wednesday, June 9th, 2026 @ 5:30 p.m.
Children aged 5 or older, who are reading independently, are welcome to participate in a unique literacy program designed to help your child gain reading confidence!
Each participant must choose a book at the library or bring one from home. It is helpful if they have read the book previously but is not necessary.
Your child will be registered for a 15-minute reading time, with a few minutes to get settled and then approximately 10 minutes of reading. Times are reserved on a first-come / first-served basis.
5:30 – 5:45 p.m.
5:45 – 6:00 p.m.
6:00 – 6:15 p.m.
6:15 – 6:30 p.m.
6:30 – 6:45 p.m.
6:45 – 7:00 p.m.

Didgeridoo Down Under! Wednesday, July 15 @ 2:00 p.m. | Families welcome!
The Didgeridoo Down Under Show is an energetic fusion of Australian music, comedy, character building, storytelling and audience movement / participation. The didgeridoo has been played by Aboriginal Australians for at least 1500 years, and is known for its otherworldly sound. We’ll explore the Outback and the Great Barrier Reef, we’ll unearth Aboriginal artwork and artifacts, we’ll learn about amazing creatures like kangaroos and koalas, and much more, all while moving and grooving to the pulsing rhythms of the didge and worldly percussion instruments. It’s interactive, educational, motivational and super fun for all ages!

Join certified sound facilitator Donna Jean Neill for an hour of relaxation! Ms. Neill will use singing bowls and an assortment of other instruments to provide a meditative experience where people are “bathed” in sound waves. The sounds will produce a harmonious and calming influence on the listeners.
All participants need to bring an exercise/yoga mat, a small pillow, and a blanket. Comfortable clothing is recommended.
Registration is required for this event. *Please note* registration will open for West Milford residents on June 29th @ 10:00 a.m. You must have a valid West Milford Township Library card to register.
