MAT YOGA is simply practicing yoga on a mat, emphasizing floor-based poses (asanas) for flexibility, strength, and balance, using the mat for grip, cushioning joints (knees, wrists), and providing a clean, stable surface for movements like Cat-Cow, Downward Dog, or seated stretches, suitable for all levels, especially beginners seeking comfort and support.  Classes are free, registration is required and numbers are limited. Online registration.

CHAIR YOGA adapts traditional yoga poses for seated or supported standing positions using a chair for balance and stability, making yoga accessible for all ages, fitness levels, and those with mobility issues, focusing on breathwork, gentle stretches (spine, hips, shoulders), and mindful movement to improve flexibility, strength, circulation, and reduce stress without needing to get on the floor. Suitable for 16+. Registration is required, space is limited. Classes are free! Online registration.

Writers looking for accountability, feedback and community are welcome to join the Free Public Library of Audubon’s Writers Club. We meet bi-monthly on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month from 7pm – 8pm, in the library. 2nd Tuesday: Pen to Page – Warm up with a 15 min prompt (option to share) and use the remaining time to progress personal projects. 4th Tuesday: Open Mic – A chance to share what you are working on with the group and seek advice/feedback. The group is designed for adults 18+ and all genres and experience levels are welcome. Happy Writing!

Take a break from your routine and join us for a relaxed, creative night at the library. We will be choosing essential oils to blend and using them to make scented wax melts and soap. No experience needed—just come ready to unwind, get a little creative, and enjoy the process. We’ll provide all materials along with light snacks to keep things cozy.
