Join our free cake decorating class this July! Learn to craft beautiful flowers out of delicious icing with Kimberlee. If you’d like to participate in our cake decorating class, you can RSVP now to reserve your spot! Just call, email, message on social media, or ask at the front desk. It’s free and we’ll provide the cake, icing, and piping bags so you can take home your own decorated cake at the end!

Kelsie reads themed stories and we color. This week’s theme is Digging! This program is designed for Pre-K ages, but younger & older siblings are also welcome!

Join us for this 30 minute talk from UT Agriculture Extension Master Gardener JanElle Reuter on ticks! What are the dangers, how to spot them, and best preventative measures to keep them from biting you and your pets.

Join us to try out our VR headsets! Play games or explore a virtual world using the library’s two virtual reality headsets. There’s sure to be something fun for you whether you’re a seasoned VR pro or have never touched it before (or just come to watch; that’s fine too!). We have plenty of games for all ages and interests, and it’s completely free with no RSVP.

As summer break is coming to a close, it’s a great time to gather office and school supplies for the next year! Trade in your extra pencils and binders and find something new to you to take home! It’s completely free! There’s no RSVP, and if you don’t have something to give away, feel free to stop by towards the end of the event to grab any extras that are left.

Join us and dance! This casual class and open dance meeting is perfect for beginners and those looking to swing, waltz, cha-cha, tango, foxtrot, and rumba in Norris! No partner required- all you need is yourself and comfortable dancing shoes. Basic moves will be taught through the evening and a variety of music will be featured. This is a free event and all adults are welcome!

Take a stroll around Norris and talk about something you’ve read recently! The walk will start in front of the Norris Community Library and take a loop around neighborhood sidewalks. This book club does not have a designated reading list, so feel free to talk about whichever books you have enjoyed!

Littles and their parents or guardians can join us every Monday at 11am for Story Time! We’ll read several picture books around a theme and do some coloring! This week we’ve got a special guest from the Gray Fossil Site!

Kids can join us to hear from a special guest visiting from the Gray Fossil Site to teach us about Paleontology!

Teen Around is a free program for ages 12 to 19 with a fun, unique activity each meeting! No RSVP, just bring yourself and your friends to hang out! At this week’s meeting we’re making Geologic Parfaits!

Bring your Pokemon deck and battle for prizes at this card game tournament! Trainers of all ages are invited to the library at 2:30 to determine who’s Poke-team is the strongest in the Norris Community Library Gym.

It’s the end of our summer reading program and time to turn in your reading log for prizes! Join us at the Norris Lions Club Pavilion across from the library at 3pm on July 25th for food, fun, and more for all ages. We will also be having our Time Capsule Ceremony where we’ll be burying a new capsule with stories for the future Norris citizens to unearth!
